College Education
College life is termed as the spring of one’s entire existence. It is the stage of youthful gaiety and blossoming of happiness. It is the most important era in the total life span. Some psychologists have defined it as a transitional period of life. The period runs between childhood and adulthood and is sometimes called the period of late teenage. However it is not just a period of fun and merry making, it is also the period when an individual’s imagination reaches its pinnacle and this exuberance of imagination is manifested in various forms.
It is during this period that an individual forsakes the security of school life and ventures into the real world in the truest sense if the term. Most students, by this time, learn to be self-reliant as they juggle myriad activities to fund their own education and living. College life gives one the opportunity to explore, innovate and experiment with one’s life. It opens many new avenues for the young fresher to pursue all his dreams passionately. Even those students who fared average during their school years show flashes of a competitive spirit because there is the freedom to pursue a course in which one’s true aptitude resides in.
However, there’s more to college life than meets the eye. It is at this point in one’s life that an individual becomes more socially responsible, the young heart burns with the desire to serve society and to make a difference, even in the smallest of ways. It is also a time when socialization takes a paramount position; friends are the very breath of his life. Gregarious instincts are on the apex which is conspicuous by the interaction level an individual exhibits with his other mates. Thus it has rightly been said that this is a period of sunshine and shower in an individual’s life span.
