Computer education
Charles Babbage, the father of computers had never in his wildest dreams envisioned that his creation would receive such a mass plaudit and recognition. However as they say ,Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be, computers went on to take the prime position in the lives of men centuries after it was first discovered. The modern society is so helplessly contingent on the functions of the computer that to envisage a society bereft of a computers is not actually impossible. We would be like a railway wagon broken down in a desert with its engine lost among the dreary sands.
We the products of the post industrial revolution, eat, drink and breathe with computers any detachment from which can cost our lives dearly. Be it the broker who is hooked onto the Sensex prices or the frantic student trying to scavenge for information to complete a project work or a housewife leafing through the contents which the community sites have to offer, the computer has touched all of our lives in more ways than one. This situation makes computer education of double importance in our lives. For this reason various boards have included computer training as an integral part of the school curriculum right from the elementary level.
The fundamental level of computer education concerns itself with teaching LOGO, BASIC, MS DOS etc, while continuing computer education at the tertiary level leads one to expertise in various computer languages such as JAVA ,C, C++ etc. Each and every aspect of our lives is now governed by the computer, a fact which is evident by the increasing rate of computer ownership and access to the internet. If the purpose of education is to keep you updated with the changing patterns of way society functions then computer education is the right pick for you.
