Continuing Education

Education can be termed as the development of one’s inner self. It is the potion that helps one to exhibit and explore one’s latent talent and skills. The long journey of being transformed from fatuous to foremost, from silly to suave begins with one step and that is education. It is the flowering and blossoming of one’s nascent goodness and dexterity into a concrete form for the world at large to admire.

However one should not be parochial in our outlook to confine the concept of education merely to secure a degree for ourselves. As a learned man once said, ”Education is the manifestation of the perfection already present in man”, so this limits an individual’ duty only to hone this basic dexterity present within him through the process of education. Even at the cost of reiterating, it is now an established fact that education is a process without a time frame because it exists so long an individual exists in this world. The modus operandi of education is spanned over the entire life of an organism. That the parameters of education do not confine themselves to presenting Newton’s laws of motion in a new light or solving other such complex formulae and extends as far as being gifted with the common civic sense of using a public toilet is quite ostensible.

The modern day philosophers have been myopic enough to confuse education with literacy. The dichotomy between the two is fast diminishing. Education is persistent in every aspect of our living so long as we live while the process of literacy is terminated in the late tweens of an individual. Education in an individual’s life is ever expanding so the concept of continuing education springs from the basic premise that so long as an individual lives he is constantly mutated by the operative forces around him.
